How a piece is made

Every commission runs the same five stages. They are described here in full because knowing what you are buying should not require asking.

  1. Conversation

An hour, usually two. What it is for, who wears it, what they already own. Nothing is drawn yet, and nothing is quoted.

  2. Design

Hand sketches first, then CAD. You approve the renders before a gram of metal is ordered — and that approval is recorded, dated and attributable.

  3. The Stone

Sourced to the brief and shown to you before it is bought. Certificates where they exist, our eyes where they do not.

  4. The Bench

Cast, filed, set, polished. The longest stage and the quietest. Photographed as it goes, so the wait is not silent.

  5. The House

Finished, certified, boxed. Delivered in person in Victoria, or shipped insured.
